You do the Math......

It took me 5 times to pass GCSE maths back in the late 80's...my head just isn't maths compatible !

I need to be able to run 1.5 miles in under 14 minutes, so I want to test myself on central london routes.... I think from Eland House round St James's Park and back should be about right...... but I have no accurate means of measuring it !

If st james park covers 23 hectares, how do I work out the distance around the circumference ?

presuamambly the shape is irrielivant, as knowing the area covered should be sufficent to work out the perimeter length....

*sigh* I think this has something to do with Pi......
