I'm not a Poet - I really know it.

Apparently TS Eliot has been named as the UK's favorite poet.

I assume Rudyard Kipling's 'If' remains the UKs favorite poem.

My favorite poet is WB Yeats.

Though you might not glean this from my bodly spilled ramblings (I know I don't take this blog malarkey that seriously) I quite like poetry and often have a very heavily thumbed book of Yeats work to hand.

Like the rest of the country 'If' is one of my favorite poems, but so is Yeat's 'An Irish Airman foresees his Death', 'The Curlew' and the wonderful 'To a friend whose work has come to nothing' (which is very similar in meaning to IF) and Edgar Allen Poe's 'The Bells' and 'The Raven'....
