Well viewing figures for Survivors must have been good, because Aunty has just announced plans to remake the Day of the Triffids, the Classic 1970' BBC Drama based on the excellent John Wyndham novel.

It would be nice if just for once we had some new quality original telly....

There are some marvelous writers around it's a shame that broadcasters can't give them more of a free hand in developing new and original ideas that don't rely so heavily on re-imaginings or re-makes......

Oh Wow !...Just WOW !

Sometimes you come across another person's work and it's so astonishingly good it makes you catch your breath.

I can't help but gleen a certain amount of schadenfreude from the recent misfortunes of Tory MP Damian Green who was arrested and held for nine hours yesterday by Special Branch under anti Terrorist legislation and who had his two homes and offices searched as part of a Home Office leak inquiry.

I feel that as a nation, we should all stop at 6pm tonight and collectively shout, "Ner-ner-ner-ner-NER! Told you so!" despite the fact that I'm equally outraged as his doss* David Cameron.

Sure it's childish...but its fantastic to see the buggers that voted through Draconian and largely impotent Anti-terror legislation Hoist by their own petard.

Good Drills !

*doss was actually a typo....I thought about changing it....but then ..well you know the score...
