(no subject)

A very frustrating day at work today. I got home late.

But having checked the painting I was able to do a little more work though it's not particularly noticable.

I started adding rocks on the bolderfield, corrected a couple of errors on the helmet and added two of only three points of colour on the painting.

The only colours in the painting and indeed the actual photograph it's based on, is the Nasa meatball on the right shoulder, the Gold coating of the EVA Visor and the colour spectrum chart on the leg of the tripod in the foreground. This last item is difficult to spot on the painting...as I haven't painted it yet!

Suffice to say I really enjoying painting again. But the time it takes for oils to dry is frustrating. I may start a second painting while this one dries.
